Atorvastatin
Atorvastatin (brand name Lipitor) is a statin medication used to lower cholesterol and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, heart attacks, and strokes. It works by inhibiting an enzyme needed for cholesterol production.

Dosage Information
Starting dose is typically 10–20 mg once daily. Doses range from 10 mg to 80 mg daily depending on cholesterol goals and risk. Can be taken at any time of day, with or without food.
